The purpose of this course will be to identify the Fourier heat conduction equation, steady state one dimensional heat conduction through plane well, cylinder wall, spherical wall, and composite structure. Heat transfer from extended surface. Three dimensional heat conduction equcation. Numerical problems on unsteady state heat conduction through a semi-infinite slab through an infinite slab, infinite cylinder, sphere, critical insulation thickness. The entire gamut will range from the syllabus designed so as to enhance the competitive requirement of the same.
